Kangaroo Whips

Why do we use kangaroo for our leather whips?  Kangaroo leather has many unique properties that allow it to be cut and split into the right size for the smooth, flexible, and sometimes even highly intricate plaiting you see in a professionally crafted whip while still retaining up to 600% more of its original tensile strength than other types of leather commonly used for whipmaking are able to retain.
