Handle lengths - 8 inch - Standard Indiana Jones length, good for general whip cracking. 10 inch - Good inbetween length for general cracking and targeting. 12 inch - Mainly used for target whips. Longer handle lengths on request. Knot types - This Knot is a 3 pass, 5part 4bight turks head knot. The
same knot used by David Morgan for the Indiana Jones Whip.
This knot is a 2 pass, 5part 4bight turks head
knot. It is generally used on smaller whips.
This knot is a 2 pass, 7part 6bight turks head
knot. It is generally used on Larger Fullsize whips.
This knot is a 7part 6bight knot. The second strand is weaved through the base knot. Available in two tone for whips over 12 Plait. This fancy knot type comes standard on all two tone
whips 24 plait and over. It is 7part 6bight, with 4 passes.

Whip Construction
 Core: This is the first layer of a whip. It is a piece of solid leather that is at the center of the whip. First Belly: This is the first braided layer of the whip. It is generally 4 plait, and is braided around the core. First Bolster: This is a solid piece of leather that covers the first braided layer. It builds up the mass of the whip, and creates a solid smooth cirular piece to braid the next layer around. Second Belly: This is the second braided layer of the whip. It is generally 4 plait, and is braided around the first bolster, first belly, and the core. Second Bolster: This is the final bolster. It is a solid piece of leather that encircles the previous layers. It, again, builds up the mass of the whip, and creates a solid smooth round piece to braid the Overlay around. Overlay: This is the final layer of braiding. It can be braided in 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 32, 36, 40, and 48 plait. Most higher plait counts include fancy patterns in the braiding. |
